THE EIGHT CHARACTERISTICS OF THE IDEAL INSTRUCTOR:

  3. Responsible attitude as an instructor.

  4. Scientific mind in matters of technique.

  5. Knowledge of the vital spots of human anatomy.

  6. Unshakable integrity in political and financial dealing.

  7. Dedication to spreading the art of TaeKwon-Do throughout the world.

  8. Ability to gain confidence from seniors, trust from fellow instructors, and respect of his or her juniors

RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN INSTRUCTOR

  • An instructor should never tire of teaching.

  • An instructor should be eager for his students to surpass him. It is the ultimate complement

    for the instructor.

  • An instructor must always set a good example for his students and never attempt to

    defraud them.

  • The development of students take precedence over commercialism.

  • Instructor should teach scientifically and theoretically to save time and energy.

  • Instructor should help students develop good contacts outside the do jang (training hall).

  • Students should be encouraged to visit other do jangs and study other techniques.

  • All students should be treated equally, there should be no favorites.

  • If the instructor is not able to answer a student's question, he should not fabricate an answer

but if he does not know, he should attempt to find the answer as soon as possible.

  • An instructor should not seek any favors such as cleaning the studio, doing repair works, etc., from his students.

  • An instructor should not exploit his students. The only purpose of an instructor is to produce excellent students, both technically and mentally.

  • Always be honest with the students, and never break a trust.
